AHAHAHA!! I Can Do It!

This past day was technically the day before I was supposed to start my epic one-month-novel writing, but I wanted to get a head start, which ended up being a test. I thought, if I can do the 5000 words today, then I’ll trust myself to be able to do it for the month.

I started pretty early in the morning, having been up all night, and got out about 1500 words by the time I passed out at 10. Slept for 2 hours, then watched the Rally to Restore Sanity for 3, sat around some, feeling too tired to do anything, but unable to fall asleep. Breached 2000 by like 6PM, went out to eat and to Barnes and Noble with my brother, came home at 9:30 and wrote 3000 words in under two and a half hours, finishing my 5000 goal, 4 minutes before midnight.

Why did I just tell you all that shit? because I got my 5000 word goal while still having time to do other shit. Id’ve been happy to get that many words under any circumstances, much less to get them while wasting time. Of course, I’m not being fair - I slept less than 2 hours today. But yeah, whatever, I kicked ass.
